I’m Bianca, founder & creative director of MAKTUBI.
I spent my childhood dreaming & my university years working on those dreams.
Living my early 20s between two continents and three countries - UK, China and Romania, I was surrounded by different people with such unique stories. I learned about their cultures, backgrounds, favourite childhood meals and dreams, and I absorbed them all. I fell in love with their stories.
Now, with several years of experience in social media & digital marketing, I’ve decided to found MAKTUBI media hub. It’s a creative space where I can channel my expertise and passion towards helping small businesses find their voice and build a lasting impact. We all have a story worth telling.
While planning my wedding, I realised how much I enjoyed every single detail of the process. And how much attention I paid to everything. Soon after our big day, friends and friends of friends started reaching out asking me to help them design their wedding stationery or develop an art direction for their event. That’s how I knew MAKTUBI can also be a space for the cool brides. The ones that get it.

THE NAME.
EXPLAINED.
When I was around 4, I used to watch this Brazilian soap opera with my dear grandmother. It was set both in Brazil and Morocco, and I was fascinated by it - from the plot to the music, costumes, locations. This soap opera had as its soundtrack a song called Maktub, a song I go back to whenever I feel nostalgic, happy, stressed, nervous, and it always seems to make my heart grow.
In Arabic, maktub means destiny, fate. I didn’t have my grandmother in my life for a long time, yet this song has been following me since forever, reassuring me I’m on the right path. Following my destiny.
The <bi> read as [bee] is my nickname, the way all my best friends & family call me.
Combining the two, I came up with maktubi.
MAKTUBI is about writing & embracing your own destiny. Be who you’re meant to be.
